Brockley Max is a 9-day not-for-profit community festival that celebrates local talent across various locations in Brockley, Ladywell, Crofton Park & Honor Oak.
Max in The Park is our closing event of the 9-day extravaganza, which takes place on Hilly Fields from 12-6pm on Saturday 6th June 2026 and has something fun for all the family, toddlers, teenagers and all! There'll be exciting art workshops for children. The stage will host local bands; from rock to reggae, and hip hop to classical, as well as fantastic dance & singing performances. There'll be strange happenings in the stone circle, wandering minstrels, face painting, music making and a tall tale or two will be told. There’ll be a delicious array of food, a bar and a local crafts market. Last but not least, there’ll be a fantastic mixture of guests, including you we hope!
Please help us by pledging your support so we can bring Max in the Park to the community.
What we'll deliver:
Showcase over 50 local talents – music, dance, art, and storytelling
Entertain over 300 children with creative and educational activities
Support local creative businesses by providing a space for local food and craft stall.
Put up a workshop marquee and a stage.
Why it's a great idea:
Max In The Park brings the whole community together to celebrate why we love living in this amazing part of SE London.
It lets young people try out a host of art & crafts . They'll hear stories from around the world and the community. And they'll take part in theatre performances. Adults get to listen to some great music, and chill with local bars and food stalls. All can browse the amazing stalls from our local creatives.
Some musicians and performers are experienced & others young & emerging local talent who gain valuable experience & who collaborate with other performers.
Local designers & artists can showcase their work, as well as local businesses providing fantastic food and drink.
This year we will be supporting sanctuary seekers to participate as musicians, artists, stall holders and volunteers!
And its a fantastic opportunity for people to volunteer and be part of this neighbourhood!
When Brockley Max Festival started in 2001 there were only 12 events. Since then it’s grown to over 100 events with a team of over 15 people on the committee and over 100 working hard to make it happen! Please pledge your support so that we can continue to grow this event for the benefit of the enjoyment of the whole community.
