Save Bristol's Rastafari Culture Centre!

Bristol Rastafari Culture Centre has been a community hub for 40 years but now we need to raise funds to help us secure the space and carry out repairs.
In 2020, Bristol City Council announced they wanted to turn our building on Grosvenor Road into flats. But after much support from the public (over 5000 signatures on our petition) and long negotiations, the council have agreed to sell us the Ground floor unit.
We now urgently need to raise funds to help us cover legal fees, complete the purchase and carry out essential repairs. In order to make the building safe, the following repairs are needed:
- replace old storage heaters
- remove & install light fittings
- rewiring and new fuse box
- replace the hot water boiler
- replace broken inner door
- fit electric mechanism to window shutters
- carpentry works
Bristol Rastafari Culture Centre is an essential community space. Ras Bandele and his family have provided counsel and guidance to many hundreds of people - watch the community share their experiences ❤️
