Friends of Riverton (formerly Friends of Belfort) was born from a powerful belief: that neighbors working together can create positive change.
We came together because we saw real threats to the place we call home:
- Traffic growing more dangerous for kids and families
- Development pushed forward without taking thoughtful, thorough, and respectful community input into consideration
- City planning that overlooked essential neighborhood needs
Instead of standing by, we decided to act.
Your support enables us to:
- Create opportunities for neighbors to gather, connect, and get involved.
- Enhance public safety and make our streets more inviting for everyone.
- Support responsible development that preserves our neighborhood's character.
- Advocate for the Riverton neighborhood with city officials.
- Improve our public spaces, making our neighborhood a place we all cherish.
Stand With Us
Every donation—large or small—helps build a stronger front against this reckless development. Together, we can protect what makes the Belfort Street neighborhood unique: its safety, its spirit, and its sense of community.
Donate today. Share our story. Stay engaged.
Because once it’s gone, we can’t get it back.
