Save Asbury Park's History, a New Jersey non-profit entity, which has an IRS approval as a 501(c)(3) approved charity, has a unique opportunity to assist the city in filing an eminent domain lawsuit to take ownership of the Casino, Carousel, Power Plant, Sunset Pavilion and the Convention Hall complex:(The Paramount Theater, the arcade and Convention Hall). An anonymous donor has agreed to Donate $100,000 to our charity to assist the city to pay for the legal fees needed. He has also agreed to match the first $100,000 of public donations. While we believe an eminent domain lawsuit is the best path to preserving these buildings, we are committed to working with the City of Asbury Park to finding any viable solution to preserving these historic structures.
