Dear friends,

My name is Allaaeldin and I am a Palestinian living in Belgium. With a heavy heart, I ask for your support and compassion as my family is trapped in Gaza in dire conditions. My family’s house has been destroyed and they are now sheltering in a school in Rafah with many other displaced Palestinians, suffering from hunger, illness, and the threat of violence. Please help me to evacuate them to Egypt as soon as possible.

I would like to save my mother, three sisters, brothers, and eighteen young nieces, nephews, and cousins from the war in Rafah. My sister Kifah is a mother of nine mourning the loss of her son to violence. My sister Heba is separated from her husband, and navigates uncertainty and severe stress daily in a shelter.

My sister Tahreer has given birth to a daughter, Sadin, in late February. After giving birth, Tahreer is unable to find enough to eat and is at risk of her milk supply drying up. It is near impossible to find infant formula, and baby Sadin is at risk of starvation.

Our dream is simple: to reunite in safety and to find refuge from the horrors of Gaza. The costs of evacuation to Egypt are prohibitive. I need your help to cover their evacuation and a safe arrival in Egypt.

I need to raise $106,000, which equals €97,573. All funds I raise in this GoFundMe will be spent as follows, listed in USD.

$90,000 for 9 adults and 18 children to cross the Rafah checkpoint (9 adults at $5,000 each, 18 children at $2,500 each)

$1,000 to issue 11 passports

$2,000 for transportation from Rafah to the Egyptian border, and from the border to safe housing

$10,000 for 3 months of housing in Egypt for 27 people

$3,000 for GoFundMe’s transactions fees (2.9% plus $0.30 per donation)
