Save access to Bawdsey Sea Front

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Andy, I am part of Bawdsey Haven Yacht Club, and we are trying to save our access to the boat club yard and at the same time keep open the public footpath to the sea front at Bawdsey Manor.
If you are a beach user at Bawdsey you will have noticed that the beach has rapidly been getting narrower for the last few months and there has been very fast and massive shingle loss. ( see images below). In the summer over 500 people access the beach in any one day, while locals including dog walkers use the beach year round.
Bawdsey Haven Yacht Club (BHYC) had to act quickly to maintain access to its boat park which at the same time protects the public footpath. If the public footpath becomes unusable the only access by the public will be the river bed which will be dangerous on a rising tide. The authorities would have to close the beach completely because of public safety issues.
Our club has put up some temporary wooden structures and temporary repairs to one groyne to try and slow down the erosion. The club has already spent £5.5k on this work. There is still much more to do and the total cost could eventually be as high as 35K
We have got Council, Environment Agency etc involved but no help forthcoming yet.
Please help us to protect the path, we want to rebuild more of the old groynes which previously protected this section and ideally get a permanent barrier built by the path using metal sheeting or hard wood.
Thanks for any help and keeping this important part of Bawdsey Quay in use.
