I never thought my life would come to this — but I’m desperate, and I have to fight for my family.

For nearly five years, I raised my daughter, her father was gone — absent by choice after breaking into our home and getting arrested in front of our daughter. Fast forward five years to when he resumed parenting time, an incident took place and she sustained an injury and due to this he wasn’t allowed to see her for almost a month per a temporary protection order but in the end the domestic violence courts said it wasn’t “violent enough” to grant a permanent protective order.

Now, despite everything, and because I had poor legal representation against his lies and manipulation, he has taken custody of my daughter — and I am being threatened with jail time over a judgment that is completely unjust, ordering me to pay nearly eighteen thousand dollars to cover his attorney fees.

This isn’t just about me. My daughter still cries for me. She still needs her mother. And I now have a new baby who deserves the safe, loving home I’ve fought to build. Everything I have done has been for my children — and now it’s all at risk.

I am exhausted. I am heartbroken. But I will not stop fighting for them.
