Hi, my name is Savannah, and in January 2026 I will be travelling to Arusha, Tanzania, to volunteer in childcare with International Volunteering HQ. I will be travelling with my Aunty Mel, who has volunteered in different programs across Africa with IVHQ. I still remember being nine years old, helping her pack up donations and supplies to send over there, and telling my family that when I grew up, I was going to do this too. It has been a dream of mine ever since.

Now that I’m finally old enough, I’m taking the opportunity to do something meaningful and give back. During my time in Arusha, I will be helping care for young children in local childcare centres and supporting their daily routines, learning, and play.

All funds raised will go directly towards purchasing school supplies and essential items the children need when we arrive — such as books, pencils, crayons, hygiene products, and other important resources that support their learning and wellbeing.
