Our team provides vital support services across communities in Wales, and we do it completely free of charge to communities. Whether it’s reaching people in need or responding to community calls, our work relies on having a reliable vehicle & infrastructure to get us where the help is needed most.
Who We Are
At SARS Cymru, we are a non-profit, non-governmental organisation - fully independent - dedicated to a simple but vital mission: enhancing public safety, security, and protection across Wales ensuring you are informed, alert and aware.
From independent search and rescue operations for people and animals; to providing real-time emergency updates during adverse weather, our team works around the clock to be there when the community needs us most.
Why We Need Your Help
To keep our services free and accessible to everyone in Wales, we rely on the support of people like you. We are currently looking to raise funds to expand our SITREP (Situational Report) Unit and enhance our frontline community response tools.
Your donations will go directly toward:
- Emergency Response Equipment: Funding for search & support gear and adverse weather response tools (flooding, road closures, and power cut support).
- Technology & Communication: Improving our community alert channels and SITREP infrastructure to provide faster, more accurate statutory service updates.
- Community Safety Initiatives: Supporting our crime reduction advocacy, CCTV home security assessments, and local authority/services accountability programs.
- Training: Ensuring our volunteers are fully equipped with the skills needed to liaise with emergency services and provide advocacy for vulnerable residents.
