Sarah's Charity Head Shave

Donation protected
If you ever need help, do not be afraid to ask for help. Asking for help is a sign of STRENGTH NOT WEAKNESS. ********* Hello all, My name is Sarah , I am 32 and I live and work in Navan, Co. Meath Ireland. Long before Covid-19,  my niece Emily had asked me to grow my hair and donate it to the rapunzel foundation , so I have been growing my hair for a while now.  However, due to the pandemic, I feel the need to go a step further to raise money for good causes that are vital in these unprecedented times. For this reason I will be cutting and then shaving off my hair on the 21st of June. As you can see above I have long hair and I have not had anything close to a shaved head, let alone a pixie cut since i was 3 when I decided to cut my pigtails off much to my mother's dismay :D -> We will try to do this live , or at least post a video of it after <- ********* Many people are struggling in this time of isolation, constraints and loss. It is a heavy burden for everyone's mental health. Social distancing, isolation and cocooning heightens loneliness, which can be very difficult to deal with, especially if you struggle with loneliness at the best of times. Restrictions - which are there to protect us - can also be a source of worry and fear. Very few generations can still recall such vast amount of loss at one time: Loss of security and stability, loss of jobs , loss of income and loss of life. Even just the mere fear of loss can become unbearable and seem like there is no way out. That is why I have chosen to support 2 charities that provide support throughout the year and who I believe are especially crucial during these difficult times. The causes I have chosen are SOSAD Save our Sons and Daughters  who have one of their offices here in Navan and Meath River Rescue  which operate with volunteers only 24/7, 365 days a year and are funded by donations only. ********* SOSAD Ireland is an Irish suicide prevention and bereavement support charity founded in 2006. Every volunteer at SOSAD is committed to providing the very best possible care and support to every client and they also do all they can to help their families cope through this difficult time.
