Sapcote In Bloom

Hi all. My name is Neil Tyack, a local resident of Sapcote for the last 26 years and a passionate gardener.

As we hit the middle of summer, you can’t help notice as you enter and drive through the village, the stunning flowers that adorn our verges and planters, making a visual delight and giving a real sense of village life.

You’ll often see the plants being watered and tended to by the members of the ‘Sapcote Bloom Group’.

These aren’t paid members, just local residents that give up their own time as and when they can to ensure the village looks as it does. It’s a thankless task but brightens our day. I for one am eternally grateful for the work they do.

They rely on donations made on fund raising events from cake baking to plant sales and donations from Sapcote Parish Council, but funds are limited, equipment ages and costs for plants and bulbs increase year on year.

As a village, we are growing in size, but their passion only grows with it.

So, it’s a simple request, to spare a pound or two and to keep them doing what they love and what we enjoy, day after day.

It doesn’t matter the size of donation you make, it’s the feel good factor you receive daily from the work they do, throughout the seasons, that makes this a worthy cause. So please, do donate and keep ‘Sapcote In Bloom’.
