It brings me pain to have to yet again be reaching out only 3 months from losing Darrin to COVID-19 to now losing Melissa to Cancer. 

God had a greater plan... while we may not know exactly what that looks like... Melissa’s strong faith leads us to not question but know that we must continue to support her children in many ways.  Melissa lost her long, hard fought battle to cancer last night and is now reunited with her husband Darrin. Their 3 children, Darrin, Daniel and Mikayla are now left without a mother and father.  Our community, their family and friends will not let those children endure more than they already have had to and we will be there to support them in every way possible.  

Here we are today... only 3 months later...reaching out to each and everyone of you asking if you are able to donate to the Santos family in this time of need again. Darrin was the sole income provider to their family. This is an amazingly generous and loving family that is there for everyone in a time of need...let's rally together and be there AGAIN when they need us.Your generosity is always appreciated

Here was the last GoFundMe just 3 months ago.  

Almost 5 years later since the devastation this family faced losing their home to a fire and we’re asking for your support more than ever again. Early this morning, this COVID-19 virus took one of our own ... in our small town ... a Cold Spring community family member; Darrin Santos lost his battle fighting this virus. Even more saddening.... he died without his family by his side... not allowed to physically be there for him.  A husband, father, son, uncle, friend and so much more. He leaves behind a beautiful wife Melissa and 3 beautiful children, Darrin, Daniel and Mikayla as well as so many other family members.

On May 18th, 2015 this family lost their home to a fire.... thankfully no one was injured. This family has faced numerous challenges that most couldn’t handle. Melissa was diagnosed with cancer years back and continues to fight that battle to this day. Her gratitude and resilience for life and those around her is insurmountable. A year before they lost their house to the fire, they lost Darrin’s stepmother to a senseless car accident from a drunk driver. Darrin’s father, Papa Santos survives the accident, has been through hell and back recovering from it all but is left with the lasting physical and emotional scars. 
Here we are today... almost 5 years later .. reaching out to each and everyone of you asking if you are able to donate to the Santos family in this time of need again. Darrin was the sole income provider to their family.
