Dear Friends and Family,
Almost 13 years ago, we set out on an incredible journey as husband and wife. We have also had the pleasure and privilege of having two sweet daughters, multiple moves and a couple of career changes. Today, we would like to include you on our next journey…our journey to adoption!
About 3 years ago God placed adoption on our hearts. But, with James away at sea with the Navy and an impending deployment, we knew the timing was not right. Recently God rekindled that desire and we wanted to be faithful to follow His leading.
We are now in the initial stages of our adoption journey and intend to adopt a young child from the foster system. At this time, we have chosen to move forward with an adoption agency called Bethany Christian Services. We are so thankful that we have the means to provide for a child’s daily needs, but the reality is there is a substantial amount of money needed up front to bring this child home. Would you be willing to enter into this journey with us? You can be a tangible part of uniting us with our child, whoever and wherever he/she is. Whether you feel led to help us financially and/or through your prayers and encouragement, it all means the world to us! There really is no amount that is too little because it is the love behind the gesture that will help carry us through.
We are creating a special framed keepsake that will hang in the child’s room as a reminder of those who helped get them to their forever home. If you make a donation of $25 or more, your name will be written on a wooden heart that will be displayed inside this keepsake. You can securely make donations through our GoFundMepage. Or you can contact us for our mailing address if you prefer to write a check.
Please also consider supporting us through prayer. Here are some specific prayer requests we would really appreciate: For James & Alisha to have discernment, patience, and peace through the process. That the Lord would make it clear which child is ours to bring home. For safety and protection for our child while they are still waiting in foster care. For all hearts involved to be prepared for and open to the upcoming transition.
