Olá, sou o Santiago e tenho 7 anos. Aos 11 meses tive uma mielite transversa aguda e perdi a mobilidade nos braços e pernas... Desde aí, que faço terapias para aprender todos os movimentos, ganhar equilíbrio e força! Gosto de jogar à bola com os meus amigos no andarilho, mas fico de vez em quando com umas feridas de fricção. Adorava ter mais autonomia e para isso preciso de um exosqueleto pediátrico (permite ter mais força e estabilidade em pé). Ajudem me a sorrir sem dor! Obrigado!!

Hello, my name is Santiago and I live in Portugal. I am 7 years old and when I was only 11 months, I got very sick and lost all movement on my arms and legs.

Since then, I have been in therapy every day to learn those movements and gain strength.

Regardless of this limitation, I love to go to school, to learn, and most importantly, I love playing football with my friends! Right now, I can play thanks to a paediatric walker.

However, after some games, I often have wounds on my legs due to the friction. The only way to avoid these would be for me to use an exoskeleton. This would also improve my walk and allow me to do more things on my own.

Unfortunately, exoskeletons are very expensive! So, I need your help.

If you were to know me, you would see that I don’t let my problems affect me. I am always smiling and I’m an example to my friends.
