Dear friends and family,
My daughter Jessica has been selected as the Reyna Elena for this year’s Santacruzan Flores De Mayo by the Filipino-American Community at Saint John Neumann Shrine. In addition, my husband Jonathan and I were selected as Hermano and Hermana Mayores for the event.
Santacruzan is a revered Filipino tradition celebrating the finding of the Holy Cross by the Empress Helena and Emperor Constantine.
Flores de Mayo is a floral May-time Festival celebrating the Filipinos’ great love for the Blessed Mother.

As you can imagine, promoting this massive event requires sufficient funding to ensure it becomes successful. Being selected as Hermano & Hermana Mayores, fundraising is one of our primary responsibilities to help defray the cost of the festivities.
