Our daughter, Jia-Xin, spent a few years in foster care in Taiwan before we were able to adopt her in Canada.  After experiencing nearly a full year of abundance with us she expressed an interesting career choice. 

She told me that when she grows up, she wants to be Santa Claus. 

I asked her why, since there already was a Santa Claus and he delivered gifts to all the children in the world? She said "Not to Taiwan".

She had been struggling with the fact that in Canada, she has been showered with gifts, while children back in Taiwanese foster homes and orphanages never know the joy of a gift from Santa. 

I told her that she doesn't need to be Santa Claus to give gifts, that we can send gifts to those kids in Taiwan ourselves. She got very excited at the idea. So after much hunting, research and verification, I found the right people in Taiwan to make this happen.

This is our tenth year and the kids in Taiwan need us more than ever.
