Did you know that there are around 2.5 billion people in the world who do not have access to proper sanitation facilities? Have you ever heard that approximately 1.6 million children die every year, victims of diseases such as cholera, malaria, and diarrhea that spread because of poor sanitation infrastructure? Water and toilets are things that we maybe take for granted, things that we don´t really think about in our everyday lives...

We want you to get aware of this reality and to give you the possibility to be part of a project that intends to help thousands of people to address this issue!

This project aims to support slum dwellers in Dar es Salaam Tanzania, so they can get to build and use improved sanitation facilities. Combining sustainability and entrepreneurship concepts, this project will give the tools and knowledge to a group of women, so they can scale up sanitation improvement activities around the city.

This project is implemented in cooperation with the Global Dry Toilet Association of Finland and students from Aalto-University.
