Sandy Brown, Financial Fraud Victim
Donation protected
My beloved 86-year-old mom was recently the victim of a cruel and devastating financial fraud. The thieves stole the entire contents of her checking and savings accounts, and law enforcement tells us there is virtually no chance of recovery. The money stolen was the entire life savings of Mom and my late dad, John Brown, who both taught school in Bremerton for many years. As you can imagine, our family is heartbroken.
Last November, Mom moved into a smaller apartment in a more affordable retirement community. It was a difficult adjustment, but she has grown to love her new place. Now she will have to move and downsize again, much more extremely.
The goal of this fundraiser is to ease the stress while Mom adjusts to her new financial reality. We hope that the funds raised will allow her to stay in her current apartment a little longer and give her a small cushion for emergencies after she moves yet again.
Nobody ever thinks this will happen to them, and it's difficult on every level. Thanks in advance for your kind generosity!
