My wonderful step-mum, Sandra, passed away on 6th November. I am running the Brighton Half Marathon in March in her memory and raising money for the amazing hospice, LOROS.

I’m not setting a target, (although there is one to set up the page) I just want to thank the incredible team who looked after her. Even small gestures, like the ladies on reception, keeping us updated on traitors, the worker who stayed late to make us a coffee, or the nurse who remembered my sister’s name, all these acts of kindness helped us through a very difficult time.

I know Sandra would want to thank the staff, and we’ll do this together.

Sandra was the most wonderful, kind, and unforgettable person. She showed us what it truly means to be the best mum and the best human being, loving everyone she met, with no judgement, only kindness.
