Sandlot Stolen: Bring Back Joy to Kids
Beschermde donatie
Hi! I’m Dana. My son plays at “Sandlot” in Glendora. This is a place where all the kids come together and play wiffleball, and usually, if you can’t find your child, they are here, guaranteed. It’s usually big games with a lot of kids; they even had a championship there! With all of this being said, everyone is welcome to play here until you’re no longer allowed. As with any other thing that these kids do, there are rules, and we also know that some kids don’t like rules. Well, some kids who don’t frequent the Sandlot got physical with the kids who are there just about every day. These kids were told to leave, and of course, they had a problem with it and said, “My dad and cousins will be back.” They did come back, and they did so with a vengeance. The donated things the Sandlot had were stolen and destroyed! These kids work hard to keep these things and the field nice and in good condition. Now they got robbed of their “safe” place and the things they used for their games. These people stole the backstop net, an L screen, a homemade pitcher’s mound, balls, bats, breakaway bases, etc. This is not anyone begging for anything but maybe just help these boys out and show them that there aren’t always horrible people out there. They would be thrilled with even a $1 donation or a share! No donation is too small; even donated items would be appreciated! Please help the boys and the Sandlot get their field back together!
