San Carlos Families and Small Restaurants in Need

Hello, we are Malia and Ashley, students born and raised in San Carlos, California, and currently attending Carlmont High School.  We’ve all been going through this pandemic together, but undoubtedly, some members of our community have been hit harder than others.  The loss of jobs and income, since the start of COVID-19, impacted many of our beloved San Carlos restaurants and neighbors.  As a family, we have tried to support the San Carlos school district families in need while also supporting our local businesses by buying and distributing their gift cards to the families.  After we had donated, we were informed of the larger community struggling through the pandemic and while our donations benefitted some families, we thought our community as a whole would be interested as well so we can help more families and restaurants.  By launching this fundraiser, we hope to help our San Carlos neighbors facing food insecurity while simultaneously helping our small restaurants recover.   Our goal is to raise money to purchase gift cards from small restaurants in San Carlos and distribute them to San Carlos families in need.  We are extremely grateful for any support we may receive.

The gift cards we purchase from your donations will go to the San Carlos PTA Coordinating Council and One Life Counseling Counseling Center.  Thank you!
