SAMSA Charity Banquet Fundraiser 2020

South Asian Medical Students Association has their annual charity banquet! Proceeds will go to the Greater Houston COVID-19 Recovery Fund. United Way of Greater Houston and the Greater Houston Community Foundation are standing together to help support those in our community who have been impacted by COVID-19 and those who may be impacted by unforeseen economic conditions. Together, they have established the Greater Houston COVID-19 Recovery Fund to serve our region’s most vulnerable neighbors impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Join us in celebrating cultural diversity at our virtual banquet this year on Saturday, December 5th at 6-7pm! There will be skits, dance performances, a fashion show, auction prizes and more!

Even if you are unable to attend the banquet, please consider donating to support the fund.

We are the South Asian Medical Students Association chapter at UTH (McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas). We organized this fundraiser to raise money to contribute to the Greater Houston Covid-19 Recovery Fund and all proceeds will be donated here: https://www.greaterhoustonrecovery.org/. Our school is located in the Houston area and we wanted to give back to our local community in any way that we can. We bear no other relation to this particular fund/organization that we are donating to.
