Sam’s Wirral Ultra run for Calday Pool & HASC - Sat 16th Nov

Hi, I’m Sam, member of HASC for over 40 years, keen Master’s swimmer and Swim Coach - providing coaching & support to many swimmers in the community.

Coaching and training across both the Council and Trust pools at West Kirby & Calday, I have decided to take on a challenge this year to support them both. This is a challenge that although does not involve getting in the water, it will take me around all three sides of the water on the Wirral by foot - 37 miles Wirral Ultra run!

Calday Pool serves the community and engages across a wide variety of user groups. The vital work they are undertaking to provide a purpose built entrance and changing facility for those with mobility issues is huge and any support would be much appreciated.

Hoylake SC is a very special club to me and one that I am passionate about - having joined when I was 8 years, it has given me so much, a sport I love both swimming & coaching, friends for life and my confidence! Totally volunteer run, the club survives on the support of parents and the community. I am hopeful that this challenge will help provide donations that will go towards some very much needed diving blocks, to help our current swimmers.
