Sam's Children Need Your Support

I first met Sam Green in 2001 at the Los Angeles County Fire Department Academy, Class 109. We hit it off from the start and quickly became close friends. Over the next few years, our paths would cross several times, through paramedic school, becoming squad partners at Station 19 then to Battalion 9 where I was at Fire Station 30 and he was at Station 31.

In 2018, Sam’s career was cut short due to medical reasons and he was forced to retire early. Since then, he has been fighting hard to overcome numerous health issues. Sadly, the future is not looking too bright as Sam’s doctors have given him a diagnosis of a stage 4 disease with an outcome not favorable.

Upon following professional advice to get his affairs in order, it has come to light that Sam’s pension and benefits will not be passed on to his minor children once he’s gone. Two of Sam’s boys are under the age of 18. We are asking for help to establish a fund that would be used ONLY to meet the needs of his children as they go on in life.
