Sampson Family Support

Dear friends and family,

In September 2024, I (Kayla) experienced a violent manic episode after several days of sleeplessness, which led to my hospitalization in a psychiatric ward for nearly three weeks. During that time, I was diagnosed with Bipolar I Disorder (Manic Depressive).

Since then, I have been admitted to a faith-based treatment and recovery center in Florida to continue my healing journey. The property is beautiful, and the staff is incredibly supportive, offering care and guidance to people like me who have lost their way. Each day, I feel myself healing more.

My original commitment here was set to end at the end of November, but my medical team has recommended I stay an additional month for further treatment. Unfortunately, we do not have the financial means to cover this extended stay.

Asking for help is never easy, but I find myself in a position where I need to do so. The medical bills from my hospitalization are starting to pile up, and I know this is a season where we will need to lean on our community in a deeper way.
