March is here, and it's time to raise money to fight food insecurity once again. After raising nearly $5,000 combined between 2021 (Bread Madness) and 2022 (Fruit Frenzy), we are back, better than ever, and excited to partner with Seattle Sandwich Review to amplify OUR mission and YOUR opinions on sandwiches.

Once again, the winner of this year's bracket challenge will choose the beneficiary food bank of our fundraiser. Join us for Sammy Smackdown 2023, submit a bracket to compete in the bracket challenge (just like March Madness), vote in the Twitter polls (@typichette) to determine which sandwiches will move on to each round (Savory 16, Flavorful 4, Sandwich Souper Bowl, etc) and become the 2023 Sandwich Savant. Most importantly, please CHIP in here what you can to help address food insecurity! All proceeds raised will go to the food bank of the bracket challenge winner's choice. 

Last year's bracket challenge champion, Nathan Young, directed the funds to be donated to World Central Kitchen and Nourish Pierce County. Our 2021 champion Nick McAlister chose to donate the full pot to the U-District Food Bank. Who will emerge as this year’s Sandwich Savant and make a difference in their community?
