Samhain Parade Manorhamilton

Hi my name is Dee Armstrong and I'm fundraising for the annual Halloween (Samhain) Parade in Manorhamilton on behalf of Cluainin Carnival Arts.

I have been directing the Samhain parade/festival in Manorhamilton since 2001 and it is a wonderful community event that involves many schools and community groups in the area. Approximately 300 people join the parade each year and many others help it come into being.

Please help us continue to reach our target!! Thanks to your generosity and sponsorship from businesses in the town the Samhain parade is going ahead on SATURDAY THE 2ND OF NOVEMBER!!!! Thank you..this is much appreciated.

We still need to try and reach our target to pay for insurance of the event and materials. Insurance just keeps going up. Thanks to so many people helping out we have been able to fund artists to work in schools and community groups and make pieces for the parade.

We have no funding this year as we are looking for ongoing funding so we can be guaranteed a budget to continue this event going into the future. We also need a workshop in Manorhamilton to make the pieces for the parade and do workshops for the community.

Art and creativity is vital for good mental health and can be a transformative experience for those taking part. It is as important as sport in our community for bringing people together.
