On 27th April I will be running the London Marathon. I was lucky enough to get a ballot place so I am not running for a charity. But it seems absolutely insane to put myself through all the training, sacrifices and 26.2 miles and not raise a little bit of money for worthy causes. So I have decided I will split anything I can raise equally between 2 causes that are very close to my heart.-
Camps international- my son Ellis will be taking part in a 4 week long trip to Cambodia in July to do important community work like helping to build schools and hospitals in poor, rural areas. He has raised much of the money himself and has received some really kind donations but needs a little more.
Team KMA fund- in short this is a fund that makes dreams come true. Funding elite martial artists (including myself and Ellis) to travel all over the globe and compete at the WKC world championships.
I hope to run the marathon in less than 4 hours and 45 minutes. Which I don’t think is bad for an old bird running her first (and last) marathon.
All donations no matter how big or small are hugely appreciated. The first 26 donations of £20 or more get a memory mile. Memory miles will be run in honour of the person of your choice.
