Hey everyone! My name is Manar and I live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I’ve set up this fund to help Sama and her family rebuild their lives in Gaza after two years of devastation. Sama is also a university student who needs resources to complete her studies.

My Story During the War

My name is Sama, and I live in Gaza. The war changed everything in my life. My family and I have been displaced many times. Every time we moved, I hoped it would be the last, but it never was. We carried only the little things we could take, leaving behind our home, our memories, and sometimes even our dreams.

The sound of bombs, the fear in my mother’s eyes, and the cries of children became a part of our daily life.

Now, studying has become a big challenge for me. I don’t have a phone or a laptop to study properly. While other students attend online classes or do research easily, I struggle to find any way to continue learning. Sometimes I borrow a laptop from someone for a few minutes, just to check lessons or assignments.

But even with all this pain, I haven’t lost hope. I still dream of becoming a doctor one day — to help people, to heal wounds, and to build a better future for my family and my country. The war took many things from us but it will never take my determination.

Please don’t forget about us. We are still here, trying to survive, trying to study, trying to dream. Every bit of help, every voice that speaks for Gaza, gives us strength to keep going.
