My name is Rob and I’m raising awareness for Sam and what he’s going through.
Sam saved my life the night of October 28, 2025.
We were both working up north at a gold mine under construction. The night of October 28th there was a fire alarm at approximately 1 am. In the case of a remote work camp, when the alarm goes off everyone has to muster. For us that means walking outside to the construction tent. I was walking to the tent and I collapsed, I was having a massive heart attack. Enter Sam.
Sam proceeded to my side where he assessed me, I didn’t have any vital signs and he began CPR for 17 minutes!!!! He dispatched other individuals for an AED and other for blankets. He got me going again until the medics arrived and took over. As he was loading me into the Ambulance he tore tendons and his bicep. He was then dismissed by the mine for other reasons. He has since tried to access WSCC for help with a “workplace” injury and been denied. This is a massive injustice!!! This man is a life saver, LITERALLY, and he’s now facing financial ruin because he thought he was covered and has now been denied.
I'm so upset by this. This man saved my life. He’s my hero. My family and I owe him a debt of gratitude we couldn’t begin to repay. He’s family to me.
with that I kindly ask you, donate if you can. Share if you can’t. Let’s get the word out for Sam. They didn’t treat him like the hero he is, but we sure can.
please and thank you.
