My name is Sam Hawkins, and I am a Life Scout with Troop 12 in Fort Collins, Colorado. To earn the rank of Eagle Scout, I must lead a volunteer project that benefits a local nonprofit organization. For my project, I will be assembling 5 benches for the NoCo Humane Society. These benches will provide a space for people walking and taking care of animals to rest and enjoy the weather and views. The NoCo Humane campus currently has no spots for people to rest outside, and this project will ensure that this is changed. These benches will make sure that people enjoy the good weather and spend more time outside, as they now have spots to rest.
