Hi, my name is Carolyn Trinta. I am the sister of Sally Eklund. And Sally is my best friend and I have never been more proud of her. Let me explain why.
Sally has had eating disorders since the age of 11. She struggled through the years and in the year 2016 it nearly took her life. She had a 10% chance of living. But as Sally always does, she fought through. As a single mom of two, this year in 2023, the stresses of life set her back and her disorder kicked in high gear again. But this time was different. She recognized she could not go down this path again or she would die and it was time to take the plunge with real help. With intense fears whirling in her head that she wouldn't have a job to come back to, and fears of where the money would come from to pay her bills, she took the leap of faith anyway and she knew it was time to get help. She faced her fears that were suffocating her. She took a leave of absence from work to get help at an inpatient treatment center in Wickenburg. In that moment of faith and taking the plunge, her amazing job at MKB Construction showed so much grace and allowed her to take this time to take care of herself. Without this treatment, she would not have gotten better. She is finally ready to return to work yay! While the family has banned together to cover bills for two and a half months, she is still behind and needs a little boost to get all of her bills paid being without an income since January. She is now back home at a day program but will return to work and go to an Intensive outpatient program after work. This time has brought immense gratitude to Sally and our whole family for her work and to the family that supported her and carried her this far. But now is crunch time and she needs just that bit more to solidify her success.
The GoFundMe will help pay for May's rent, get new clothes (Yes she was way too skinny and let's just burn those clothes!), and medical bills. Prayers for her continued recovery this next year with the eating disorders are most welcome.
This has been the biggest challenge in her life. She hates asking for anything therefore I, her sister, am asking you to give her that last push of donations to get her over the goal.
I am so very proud of her incredible bravery. And I appreciate with all of my heart the souls that have helped her and saved my best friend.
With so much love to all of you, Carolyn Trinta
