Hi I’m Carl and I’m the founder of the Salford Veterans Centre. Based in the heart of Salford which has approx 16,000 veterans with little support for mental health and well-being, I decided to open a 1940’s style cafe for the community and veterans to use. It will be a place where you will be encouraged to speak openly or tell a story or two. Phase one is complete with the cafe opened on 1/12/22. Phase two will be the upstairs being turned into a Counciling room, function room and “Sir Captain Toms Tool Shed”.

The centre is run by veterans and is a nonprofit community interest company. 

The funds raised will go towards rent, bills, phase two and meals for veterans who are immobile.
