Sakari Farm Relief Fund

Sakari Farms located in Tumalo, Oregon was hit pretty hard this past Saturday afternoon by a large wind/hail storm. This storm came in quick, and left in a hurry leaving our greenhouse, propagation house, drying racks, house and office with damage. We thankfully had our insurance adjuster out today to assist with replacing those items. Yet, our front and back fields with freshly planted crops for the 2020 Flower CSA, Tribal Food Production, Central Oregon Seed Exchange seed stock and other food we grow for our Sakari Botanical products received significant damage that is not covered here in Deschutes County under insurance.

We are needing a little "lift" to help us recover plant material, seeds and extended labor (possibly) refunding our CSA members etc. Any amount helps, and thank you to those of you that have already chipped in!! Thanks again from the Sakari Farms Family-

If you don't do dollars over the internet but would still like to offer financial help please send checks to 65060 HWY 20 Bend, Oregon 97703

Campaign organizer: Hi I'm Amanda Long - friend of Spring & Sam at Sakari Farms. Lots of folks in Central Oregon recognize my face through my work on the Locavore and Agricultural Connections instagram where I sing praises for local farms and food. I'm excited to host this fundraiser for Sakari Farms to help them purchase additional seed, irrigation line, and farm supplies as part of their recovery efforts from last week's storm. Locavore hosted a volunteer work party at the farm on Friday with a great turn out! This campaign will run through June 13th. I've already made Spring the beneficiary of this GoFundMe so that she can access the funds directly.
