My project will benefit Shri Datta Sai temple, a community space that provides meals to all, serves the homeless, and welcomes anyone in need of support. The temple plays an important role in fostering kindness and service, offering both a place to gather and a source of help for the wider community. Specifically, I will be building for the temple’s common area, where visitors often gather and where seating and storage space are limited.

The project consists of constructing two wooden storage benches. These benches are ADA-compliant and designed to open up, providing space inside for storing items that otherwise take up valuable room. At the same time, they will serve as seating for elderly members and visitors, offering a more comfortable and supportive alternative to the few plastic chairs currently in use. These additions will make the space more welcoming, functional, and efficient for the temple community.
