Hi, my name is Michael Dolan, and I am fundraising for an Eagle Project benefiting my Greek Orthodox Church, Saints Peter & Paul. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Youth Group at my Church has relied heavily on outdoor space for meetings and activities. A major part of my project is to enhance the current outdoor Youth Group area at my Church to create an environment where the Youth Group can work on collaborative and fun activities amongst the outdoors. This will be done through the construction of two picnic tables and five Adirondack chairs, the planting of greenery such as arborvitae trees and boxwood bushes, along with the reconstruction of the current Youth Group Fire Pit. In addition, with your support, I wish to construct and implement a meditative garden amongst the outdoors where members of the Church can sit silently for meditation or prayer. This garden will consist of a bluestone platform, two stone cast benches, and an icon stand members can look to when completing their prayer. This project is one of intricacy and significant importance to me and my Church, and I am thankful for any support in pursuing it. My goal for this project is to raise most to all necessary funds by October 31st of this year. Once again, this support holds much importance to me along with the Youth Group and members of the Church, as it will allow this project to flourish, opening the doors to welcoming new and current members of the parish and its youth group to the culture and fellowship of Greek Orthodoxy amongst the safety and guidance nature has to offer.
