SAINTS DELIVERS FOOD TO MINNEAPOLIS RESIDENTS

Donation protected

Saints Food Service is located in the Heart of
the most affected area of Mpls. and has
operated there for the last 19 years!  (two
blocks south of the most affected business area).

We're not real Saint's...just Saint's in training
like you for visiting this Go Fund Me appeal and helping us reach our Goal!!

Now that the dust has settled and the smoke has cleared the devastation is much clearer to see...
the need for food is substantial!!  The lines for neighborhood Food Banks are around the block every day...
and are predicted to be so for months to come!!
PLEASE HELP, DONATE TODAY, THANK YOU!!
Help us feed five thousand families...not with
five loaves and two fish but with one Go Fund Me appeal!!

Saint's Food Service is a small food distributor
that services small schools, churches, daycares,
fraternities and sororities, company picnics, etc. throughout the Twin Cities.

However, due to current circumstances in our
area, we're changing some of our focus to
providing healthy food for thousands of
residents who have very limited grocery/food
options within a several mile radius.

PLEASE HELP US PROVIDE HEALTHY FOOD
TO RESIDENTS LIVING IN THE AREA!!
A $50.00 grocery bag x 5,000 residents =
$250,000 (Feeding 5,000)
Please consider purchasing a bag of groceries
for a needy family...

Many Twin City residents and churches have/
are pitching in to provide daily staples for some of the affected residents...
they're helping provide a grocery bag of goods for 300-500
families per day in South Mpls. alone.
Another group of volunteers are providing a similar
quantity of goods to residents in North Mpls.,
where their Cub Food Store was looted and
damaged as well.

Both locations are unable to keep up with
demand or find enough donations
to fill their
bags and most of the items donated are snack
foods, canned goods, paper towels, TP and baby wipes.
No meat, dairy, very little produce, vege's,
frozen goods etc.    This will be a marathon, not a sprint!!

Brand New Aldi store last year in a redeveloped strip mall across the street from Target.

It will be many months or longer before basic
services
such as grocery stores are repaired and re-opened for customers, therefore,
families will largely need to rely on donated food/goods
throughout the area...likely for the duration of
the summer.
Please help won't you??  Please Donate Today...Thank you!!

Cub Foods Store - primary grocery store in the
area - recently remodeled entrance to the store
and inside layout.

The East Lake Street area had been a bustling
hub of stores, restaurants, services and many amenities for thousands of families living within the area,

many of whom do not drive, but almost all of the businesses, within a 2 block radius
were severely damaged or destroyed over 3
nights.

Here's a short list of area stores, restaurants
and neighborhood amenities damaged or
destroyed!!
Arby's
burned, Wendy's burned, Dominoes
burned, Walgreens burned,
Post Office Burned,  Town Talk Diner burned,
Gandhi Mahal restaurant burned,  Auto Zone
burned, a multi- tenant Apt. Complex with
numerous Apts. for low income residents, nearly complete, burned/destroyed,
Minnehaha Liquor Store burned,
GM Tobacco shop burned, and numerous other businesses were burned
including the siding of nearby homes due to the heat!!

Many, many businesses and neighborhood
amenities were looted or damaged and will
require significant re-modeling to re-open if
they ever will
like:
Dry-Cleaner businesses, The Hennepin County Library, neighborhood banks: US Bank,
TCF bank, Charter Schools, East Lake Health Clinic etc.
Many local residents are now unemployed on top of all the destruction...

Wendy's
Arby's - most of the restaurants in neighborhood destroyed.
Only a couple left!!

This vibrant community (until May 26th) served the neighborhood with everything needed
within walking distance and also served many residents for several miles around but it's been devastated...
the clean-up has begun and hopefully the re-building will soon follow but the residents will need our (your) help for many
months to come...

PLEASE HELP, DONATE TODAY...THANK YOU!

Minnehaha Liquor store in the neighborhood
for over 75 years w/a vintage Neon Sign.

POST OFFICE
Gandhi Mahal Indian Restaurant...just around
the block from famed Town Talk Diner - which
also had an Historic designated Neon Sign -
Town Talk had been in the neighborhood since
1946...most recently serving Farm to Table cuisine.
The neighborhood over the last several years
had been re-building, re-modeling, updating and had added many new amenities for the
community/neighborhood like
Charter schools, apartments for low income residents,
Chef owned restaurants, and many more... but in the spate of three nights, numerous businesses
were severely damaged or completely destroyed...

Remains of 100 + unit Apt. Complex which was nearly complete and built on the large Aldi strip mall parking lot -
numerous Apts were to be designated low income housing.

A mobile pharmacy is a baby step towards what's needed in this community right now, but it's a step in the right direction!!
PLEASE HELP, DONATE TODAY...THANK YOU!!

It takes a village to raise a child and it will take a very large and generous village to help the
affected residents in the Mpls., area pick themselves up, brush themselves off
and re-build their community and neighborhoods.

The previous pictures are from only a 2 block
radius...hundreds of additional businesses and properties were damaged,
looted, and completely burned down throughout the Twin Cities area.
