My name is Ricardo Martinez, and for my Eagle Scout project, I’ve chosen a cause close to my heart: helping Saint Hilary Church become more visible to our community. The church sits on a main street, but many people pass by without knowing about the wonderful events and services it offers. I attended school at Saint Hilary, and I feel a deep connection to the church. This project is my way of giving back to a place that has given me so much.
For my project, I plan to design and install a sign on the back side of the church, facing the busy street. This sign will let passing traffic know about the church’s location and upcoming events, helping to welcome new faces and bring our community together. I will also be planting drought resistant plants and mulch in the surrounding area. As well, the project includes cleaning up the area and repainting the metal bars on the fence to make it more inviting and accessible.
To make this vision a reality, I need support from friends, family, and neighbors. The funds raised will go directly toward purchasing materials and organizing the cleanup. Every contribution, big or small, will help Saint Hilary Church get the sign it needs to reach more people. I warmly welcome anyone who would like to support—whether through a donation or by lending a helping hand. Together, we can strengthen our community and make a lasting difference at Saint Hilary Church.
Any donations over the fundraising goal will be donated to St. Hilary Church and my Scout troop.
