Ever since Brandon and I got married we talked about adopting children. We both love children and always imagined having a house full. In the first couple years I was told that I likely would never have my own children due to reproductive issues. In 2008 however, we were blessed with our 1st of 3 miracle babies. Even though we had children biologically the desire to adopt never left. As a couple and individually we have spent time doing mission work in Mexico, Haiti, Tanzania, and here in the U.S. and in local youth ministry as well. In every place we traveled, the kids captured our hearts. Over the years we became more and more sure of our call to open our home and family to a child who needs to be loved and cared for. It has been in this last year after 6 years of infertility and loss that we knew God was saying the time to adopt is now.
We have already completed our 16 hours of adoption training and decided to work with New Horizons adoption in Blue Earth MN. After praying over lots of options both domestic and international the Liberia program seems to be the best fit for us. We are hoping to be matched with a 3-5 year old to join our family.
