(Secure Assist Guard Engage) Clan
SAGE Clan is a community organization initiated by Mark Brave Rock; that is 100% modeled after and inspired by Bear Clan Patrol of Winnipeg. The main focus of SAGE Clan is to offer security, assistance, guardianship and engagement to the homeless population of Lethbridge, Ab.
Ultimately SAGE Clan is there for the People who have no one to help in their time of need. Work days for most social organizations are 9am-5pm, yet homelessness and addiction is 24 hours. Sometimes when all of the services are closed the most vulnerable People need serious help, and may want to go into treatment or may even be alone and unconscious. SAGE clan does late night patrols in order to be there for the People when no one else is. Part of the assistance provided is bagged lunches, self-care kits, needle pick up, and most importantly, listening to the People out there on the streets. Communication is important, because sometimes all a person wants and needs is to be heard,
SAGE Clan has little funding, and all of the patrollers are volunteer. This is where they need the help of you the public. SAGE Clan needs gear, such as winter coats, winter boots, radios, and pull wagons. SAGE Clan would also like to continuously provide bagged lunches and occasional warm meals to the People who have no houses or supports, who are homeless and addicted.
