Safety Harbor Sun: for locals, by locals
Donation protected
Local, independent news for Safety Harbor, Florida!
We are raising money to expand and continue the Safety Harbor Sun local news site! The Safety Harbor Sun is a news site run by local volunteers who care about their town and love living in it.
We recognize a growing need for news that benefits the residents of our small part of a sprawling multi-metropolitan area. We know that local news matters. We are neighbors, colleagues and friends.
To continue to provide this service to our community, we are asking anyone interested in promoting local journalism to support us. Our goal is not only to provide a news source but to also be a source of journalism education for the community.
We are an all-volunteer endeavor. Expenses to-date have been self-funded and your help will allow us to continue this work. We will use the funds to establish ourselves as a non-profit and to cover website fees and marketing for an additional year.
These days, even as we are flooded with a continual stream of news and information, it can be difficult to find a source for what is happening right where we live. With your support, we plan to serve our community and be a model for other small towns who care about and want local news!
Thank you for any amount of support you can give. Local news matters!
