Hello!
My name is Alyssa Temby, and I am honored to serve as the current Southwest District Governor for Circle K International (CKI). CKI is a collegiate service organization dedicated to volunteering and giving back to our communities.
My journey with this amazing community began in high school, where I was involved in Key Club for all four years. When I started college at Northern Arizona University, I continued my passion for service by joining CKI. I’ve had the privilege of serving as Recruitment Officer during my freshman year, Club President in my sophomore year, and now I’m blessed to lead our Southwest District—which covers schools across Arizona, New Mexico, and El Paso, Texas.
As Governor, I have the opportunity to organize my own Governors Project for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. This project allows me to choose a cause that’s personally meaningful, fundraise for it, and inspire my district to participate in impactful service.
For my Governors Project, I’ve chosen the theme:
“Safety First, Appreciation Always.”
This initiative focuses on supporting and recognizing the first responders and law enforcement officers who dedicate their lives to serving our Southwest District communities. It’s about acknowledging their hard work, sacrifices, and the vital role they play in keeping us safe. Additionally, the project promotes the importance of learning personal safety skills—equipping individuals with the knowledge to protect themselves and others during emergencies.
This cause is deeply personal to me.
My father, Richard Temby, has been in law enforcement for nearly 26 years, currently serving as a Maricopa County Adult Probation Officer in the Pre-Trial Services Division. Growing up, I witnessed his dedication to protecting our community, often putting his own safety at risk. His selflessness has made him one of my greatest role models.
I’ve also been fortunate to receive a scholarship three years in a row from The 100 Club of Arizona—an organization that supports public safety officers, firefighters, and their families. This experience has further taught me the importance of showing gratitude to those who dedicate their lives to service.
As Governor, my goal is to inspire our district to give back to those who serve their communities, just as we strive to do in CKI. I want to foster a deeper understanding of the impact we can make through service and raise awareness about the importance of emergency preparedness and community safety.
How You Can Support:
I’ve created this GoFundMe page to raise donations that will directly support CKI clubs within the Southwest District. Funds raised will help clubs purchase materials for meaningful service projects—such as baking treats for first responders and assembling first-aid kits for those in need.
Every contribution, big or small, helps us make a real difference.
Thank you for your support, and I hope you’ll consider donating or sharing my Governors Project with others!
