Safe With Me :
A Trans+ Allyship Movement
Founded by Dr Ronx
Emergency Medicine Doctor Transmasculine
Non-Binary | They/Them
Why This Matters
The UK Supreme Court has ruled that “sex” in law means biological sex, not gender identity. This means trans+ people may be forced into spaces where they don’t feel safe. Toilets are one of the most dangerous of these spaces.
As a transmasculine, non-binary person, I’ve faced abuse, exclusion, and humiliation in public toilets. I’ve skipped water to avoid them. I’ve begged shops to let me use their facilities. I’ve run into disabled toilets and out again, heart racing. I’ve needed friends to accompany me, just to feel safe.
We shouldn’t have to live like this.
The Safe With Me (*SWM*) badge is a visible, non-violent, and trans-centred act of allyship.
It’s a simple, powerful pledge that says:
*“If you’re trans+, you are safe with me.”*
Wearing the badge means:
• You will accompany trans+ people to their preferred facilities if asked.
• You are committed to non-confrontational, active allyship.
• You stand for trans+ safety, dignity and joy, not just rights.
What We’re Raising Funds For:
We want to produce and distribute Safe With Me badges for free in schools, shops, offices and public spaces across the UK.
Donations will go toward:
• Badge production (two sizes, yellow with black text for accessibility)
• Distribution to institutions and public collection points
• Educational materials and bystander training resources
About Me
I’m a Black, queer, transmasculine, non-binary emergency medicine doctor.
I use they/them pronouns.
I feel innately genderless, and I express myself with a masculine aesthetic.
I’ve experienced gender dysphoria, had surgery and take hormones. But the most powerful feeling in my journey is gender euphoria — being seen, supported and accepted by those around me.
I want that for every trans+ person.
You can help make that possible.
How You Can Help
1. Donate to help us get badges made and distributed
2. Wear a badge – and mean it
3. Accompany us to facilities when asked
4. Be visible. Be available. Be safe.
My mottos is,
“You cannot be what you do not see”
Let trans+ people see you.
Show up. Stand with us.
Be Safe With Me.
