As of 2021, two out of five people who menstruate struggle to afford their period products! For most folks who have periods, this is somewhere between every 21-35 days. That is so expensive.

There are a lot more statistics out there, but I can tell you that in the community of Rochester, folks are in desperate need of period supplies. These items are not donated to food pantries as often, or subsidized in the same way. Some folks are making DIY pads, which can be great when done with sanitary supplies! However, we worry that when old, soiled fabric is used, infections can occur.

UPDATE:Hello! It has been a very successful week. Including cash we have raised $435. I spent $218 on the items pictured below and had one additional box of tampons and one package of maxi pads (not pictured) donated. Go-fund-me charged approximately $12 in transfer funds. So we were able to pack 32 outreach packs with underwear and many without. Not all of the items have been packed yet. This money is going to help A LOT of people. Once we start handing the packs out this coming week we will hopefully get some feed back. Then we can use the second half of the funds to order what we need. Thanks!
