Last summer we met mom and her young daughter and we became deeply invested in their well-being. We fell in love with the magic that the little girl brings everywhere she goes and she went on to live with us for about 4 months nearly full-time so mom could work and she could focus on school. Life in America has been very difficult for them and mom got caught up in a bad relationship. Both her and her daughter have been telling us for a while how badly they want to go back to their home in Venezuela where there are 3 other daughters/sisters that they left with the grandmother so they could seek a better life in America. But it has just been too difficult for them and it's even harder now to think about bringing the other 3 daughters here.
We are raising money to help mom & daughter return to grandma, sisters and their home in Venezuela. The trip is long and difficult and they will need to take a couple different busses to get to El Paso, Texas from Detroit, safely & legally walk over the border to Mexico, then take another bus to Mexico City, then take a flight to Venezuela. We have researched different methods for getting them back there and mom has talked to friends who have been successful in getting back home permanently.
I've included the price of buying a home in Venezuela because she'd really like to have that secured before they leave. They are about $3,500 and there are very few ways to make money in Venezuela.
I know the journey sounds scary, but with everything happening here, they are also in danger here at any moment. Plus she has been out of work because her work visa expired and she is really really unhappy and scared in her relationship too. Her and daughter both desperately desire to return home to Venezuela, it's all they talk about.
Thank you so much for your help for them on this journey. Any little bit helps!
