Come viviamo oggi?

Help Our Family of Five Find Hope and Stability Again

My name is Mai, and I am a mother of three daughters: Talia, Diana, and Liana. Before the war, our dreams were simple: to live safely in our home and give our daughters a good education, healthcare, and a brighter future.

But the war changed our lives completely.

I graduated from university with a degree in English, but the lack of job opportunities prevented me from finding work, so I devoted myself to raising our daughters and caring for our home.

My husband worked for a marketing and programming company serving clients abroad. When the war began, the constant bombardment, electricity cuts, and internet disruptions made it impossible to continue working. The contracts ended, and we lost our family's main source of income.

Then we lost our family home in Beit Hanoun, where my husband and his brothers had lived, and where we had imagined our daughters growing up and making childhood memories.

During the war, our family grew from four to five when our youngest daughter, Liana, was born. Talia and Diana remember a little of life before the war, but Liana was born into a world of displacement, fear, and hardship. She has never known the safe and peaceful life we dream of for all our children.

How are we living today?

After repeated displacement, hunger, and danger, we now rent a small room in a building that has been partially bombed. Despite the difficult conditions, this room is better than the tent we lived in during displacement, where we experienced harsh conditions and witnessed the physical and psychological effects on our family, especially our children.

But paying the rent every month has become a major challenge without a stable income. We still struggle to provide food, drinking water, medicine, and our daughters' everyday and educational needs.

Why do we need your help?

Our original goal was to raise enough money to leave Gaza and secure a safer future for our daughters. But the closure of the crossing and the devastation in Rafah made this dream impossible to achieve. We were left waiting for an opportunity that never came, while our children's needs continued every day.

Today, we want to focus on what we can do right now: live with dignity and provide our daughters with the basic necessities of life.

Your donations help us pay our rent, provide food and drinking water, cover medical expenses, and meet the essential needs of Talia, Diana, and Liana, including their education.

Every donation, no matter how small, can ease a real burden. If you cannot donate, sharing our story with others can also help us.

We are not asking for a luxurious life. We simply want a roof over our children's heads, enough food for them, medical care when they need it, and the opportunity to grow, learn, and dream of a better future.

To everyone who has donated, shared our story, or stood beside us, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support may mean another month of rent, a meal for our children, medicine when we need it, or one less night spent worrying about tomorrow.

Help us keep going and hold on to hope, one day at a time, for the future of Talia, Diana, and Liana.
