I personally don’t need to be funded for my time, I have the ability to commit some time & funds to this group. This last meeting cost me about $50 which I donated to the group, and will continue to (I and the group will keep receipts) But I do feel our group is gaining traction and influence, I am pitching news stories, organizing meetings and talking to neighbors, businesses and schools every day.

Paying for meeting space, flyers, the costs aren't much but right now it is me and my team members absorbing the cost. 

Many Facebook Group members have asked to donate, so I made this GoFundMe for that reason.

They have been a major time commitment for us. 8 on camera interviews for me, to drop whatever I was doing and rush to meet a news crew is not easy, and I did that 6 times in 1 week.
