Sadhana Community Service Project GoFundMe appeal

Everything is always changing – and especially yoga! The yoga world is experiencing a revolution and Sadhana is at the forefront. People have fallen in love with yoga and are bringing it into their lives in many different ways – it is flourishing in schools, on farms, in the workplace, on hiking trips, in prisons, in sports, to name a few. It is truly inspiring.

We are taking yoga and moving it outside our studio to reach different populations. This year we initiated a yoga program for women on parole at the Women’s Center in Poughkeepsie and participated in a volunteer program that taught yoga to young men and women in the Hudson Correctional Facility.  Our teacher trainees created a yoga program for Spanish speaking students in Albany, taught yoga to undocumented workers in Rhinebeck, and brought yoga and nutrition to young women in foster care in Ghent.

This fall we are partnering with Twin County Recovery center in Hudson to bring yoga to the staff and to the clients.  Our fundraising appeal to YOU is to raise money for the teachers and for props for the center.
