Saddleworth Whit Friday Church Walks - Uppermill - 2025

The Saddleworth Whit Friday Church walks are one of the longest running local events and attract hundreds of spectators from the local villages and beyond each year. Historically the cost of putting on the walks have been borne by members of the church congregations that walk. However, in recent years the costs have escalated.

Organisers have therefore taken been forced into taking the unusual step of asking for donations from outside the usual sources. They are trying to raise a total of £1,000 towards the overall cost and would ask local businesses and / or local people who enjoy the walks for as much of a donation as they see fit.
