Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un" (إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ)

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

With heavy hearts, we remember our beloved sister Salma Khan who has returned to Allah. While her time in this world has ended, we pray that her rewards continue to grow through sadaqah jariyah (ongoing charity).

The Prophet ﷺ taught us that when a person passes away, their deeds end except for ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them. With this intention, we are raising funds to give charity on her behalf, asking Allah to make it a source of continuous reward for her, a light in her grave, and a means of elevating her rank in Jannah.

O Allah, forgive her and have mercy on her, protect her and pardon her, honor her station, make her resting place spacious, and wash her with water, snow, and hail, and cleanse her from faults as a white garment is cleansed of stains, and give her a home better than her home, a family better than her family, and a spouse better than her spouse, and admit her to Paradise and protect her from the torment of the grave and the Fire.
